Alright..need ur help...my brother's raptor blew its hot rod rod and cracked the cases. I think I found a good set on ebay so thats covered. Here's my dilema though...

Im building up my 660 and want to get a hot rod crank/rod setup to go along with a wiseco 11:1 (+1) 101mm piston and my hot cams stage 2. So I offered my brother my stock stuff, rod, crank, piston, cam even the head if he needs it since Ive got a spare. I just wanna find the best prices on the hot rod setup, wiseco piston, HC S2 and a gasket kit. So far Ebay has these prices...

Crank/rod- 224 shipped
HC S2- 124 shipped
Wiseco 11:1- 135 shipped
Complete Cometic gaskets- 68 shipped

Puts me at $551 OTD

Where do you guys get your parts for cheap? I had my head ported by Trinity Racing and will be calling Sal there to see if he can hook me up but I thought Id ask here.

Ebay typically has the best prices I have found. 550 doesn't sound bad at all, IMO.

You should go with a CP 12.5 piston with that setup, you can still run pump gas and I think you will see a noticeable low end gain with the added compression.

he's rebuilding it afterall...I wont be able to do the work since his mechanic is giving him the parts but asking for the labor...seems fair imo....so bro got a new sleeve, wiseco 100mm 11:1, hot rods crank, hot cams stage 1.

Im planning on going with wiseco 101mm 11:1, hot rods crank/rod, HC S2 with my Trinity Racing ported head.

BTW, my Scotts filter cam in today :D

well, cam and 11:1 piston are on their way. Didnt go with a 12:1 because I have to run mexican gas some times and the bike doesnt like it with a 9:1..cant imagine what it will do to a 12:1.

Piston $145 shipped
Cam: $130 shipped

The cam at 124 was a local dude that charges taxes FTS! and couldnt find the seller with the $135 piston :( Will probably need a timing chain but I dont wanna pull the flywheel off...its a pain and comes off VERY violently.

What gaskets do you guys recommend? Ive used Cometic but IDK if thats the best out there.

put a best offer on a Lone Star Racing +1 swing arm, skid, chain, chain slider and bearing carrier...got accepted so now thats going on as well :D Still need to get my gaskets ordered and a new timing chain...will need a flywheel puller in order to swap chains though :( Its a pain pulling it off, i bent/snapped a few bolts when I did this on my 03.

sent my X-6 to Embee Performance (http://www.embeeperformance.com) for a matte silver ceramic coat and just dropped off my cylinder/piston at Trinity to get bored/honed. Also installed LSR+1 last night so as soon as I get my stuff in, Im putting it together and getting it ready for a dyno pull on Trinity's dyno in august.

sooo, its been a lil over 3 weeks. bike is back together now, my clutch side carb overflows and its running fat. gotta jet down both carbs some and adjust the float level. after this, I should be set to break in the engine and get ready for the dyno pull in 2 weeks :D

ok, so bike was fixed in time for the dyno pulls...running lean and was struggling from idle-1/4 throttle. I fixed the rough spot by raising the needles up one clip, not sure if that will fix my lean issue though :hmm:

So now that I THINK its dialed in...Im gonna go out and ride some....I'll check my plug too, just to see where Im at jetting wise. It pulls hard and I love the powerband with the stage 2 cam. The +1.25 swinger I installed helps keep the front end down, but kinda makes u feel/think ur not getting enough power cuz the front end isnt wanting to come up....gotta get used to that now. Also installed a raptor 700 rear shock, gotta dial that in in the whoops. Got extended throttle/clutch cables from streamline and theyre a lot smoother than stockers...maybe cuz theyre better or cuz theyre not binding the way I routed them, but me likey. I'll post pics of it all put together later today...feels good to see it up and running again...just in time too cuz Im going to pismo next month and riding season is around the corner!

engine build is done....on to bigger and better things

IMS/Roll Design Race Pegs...these things are lowered 1" and set back another inch...so "-1 -1"

The kickup reall helps stay in place and move the bike around corners.

Only problem is you have to modify ur heel guard brackets if you want to keep them...Im currently working on this and should have it all done this weekend.

Another sweet lil mod I had to do was replace the choke cable. With my +2 stem, my choke cable was too short...turns out I can use a Harley choke cable on my carbs with a small mod.

Cable
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v244/eddiefromcali/e8fb0b28.jpg

Stocker on top...notice the stocker is shorter...I jut about 1/8" off the new elbow where it goes into the carbs

Installed, looks OEM
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v244/eddiefromcali/62e71c28.jpg

Used an old brake line bracket (I think) bolted to a rocker cover screw

Once u pull the cable, it locks and stays pulled out all the way, which kinda revs the bike a lil higher than Im comfortable with...gonna play with the adjusting nuts and see if I can change that. Cant pull the cable just half way out, it will slide back in...gotta slide all the way out, it locks and then gotta puch it back in.

ended up getting a sweet deal on lonestar racing lines so got those instead of ASR.

Its a dual line kit, so no distribution block anymore...lines go straight to the calipers

Ok, dont think I posted pics of my new pegs with the modified heel guards

Had to cut off about 1" of the plastic, cut and bend the bracket and then drill two holes to bolt it up to the pegs.

http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash2/hs216.ash2/47942_155367651146789_100000206650351_513571_55316 98_n.jpg
http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs400.snc4/46356_155367594480128_100000206650351_513570_66491 76_n.jpg

I'll have to modify the nerf bars because the bars attach to the pegs, but since these IMS ones are fatter, they are screwing up the alignment. Gonna have to grind off the welds on the front mounting plate that bolts to the frame, line up the bars with the pegs, drill holes, weld the plate back up. Its a pain but I think it will be worth it having the big ol fat pegs, nerfs and heel guards.

I also got a light rack from my brother...Already mounted it up, just have to upload the pics...put some Kragen 7" HIDs on it and they are BRIGHT
