eeehhh...... im more of a sport guy....

me to, but this thing is pretty badass.
its a mix between sport and utility. so it would be pretty darn useful for me. can rip around the back roads, yet still do work at home.

4wd? or rear wd?

I see CV joints on front so 4WD. Wonder if it is shaft drive or not.

its on demand awd.
one of the best 4x4 systems on a quad ive used to date.

No shit? Wow, they really are advancing tech on these things.

SBA800
10-31-2012, 03:02 PM

$1,000,000 ....... hahaha....

It's a beast in person. These usually aren't my type of quads, but I saw this thing in the dealership yesterday and the first thing I thought was "Holy shit I must own this!" It's super comfortable and from the videos it looks like it hauls crazy ass too. Only downside is it's $12k for the limited edition with the Fox Podium X shocks that I see as a necessity on it.

SBA800

yeah, expensive, but i imagine worth it.

sport/utility cross. has a little more utility in it than sport.

soooo badass in person. i didnt sit on it when i was at my dealer, but it looked damn nice,

The thing is like a couch to sit on. The seat feels like its made of memory foam. Ergos are really comfortable even for a guy my size (6'5). It felt comfortable both sitting and standing. More so than the Renegade did.

polaris is really good at that kinda shit.
my sled is sooo damn comfy.

Yeah, I kinda pictured it as a great quad to go out and explore the desert with. Just put a gas can and a water jug on the racks and have a good time. It'd probably be a great one for desert racing too now that I think of it.

i still cant get past the design of it. i eish it looked a bit sportier

aarons419
12-08-2012, 12:43 AM
It's a "You have to see it in person" kind of thing I think.

nosbusa
12-08-2012, 05:55 AM
hm, just like the terrain.

aarons419
12-08-2012, 08:13 AM
kind of I guess. My first thought on seeing it was "What the hell is that thing?!" It looks a lot tougher than any other quad in the shop.

SBA800
12-08-2012, 10:13 AM
yeah, its definitely one of those things you gotta see in person to get the overall feel of it.

pictures don't do it justice

aarons419
12-08-2012, 04:02 PM
Yeah they did a good job of giving it a "presence" for lack of a better term.

nosbusa
12-11-2012, 03:53 AM
it doesnt matter, its only a bit of time before it becomes scratched or damaged....

aarons419
12-13-2012, 07:53 PM
I can't even imagine how much plastics for that thing would be.

SBA800
12-13-2012, 08:31 PM
my guess would be $300-$400 per piece.

dont know how many pieces it is in, i imagine 4.

who knows, may not actually be very much. some parts ofr my sled i was surprised how cheap they were. and they weren't cheaply made either.

aarons419
12-14-2012, 12:28 AM
That's one area where dirt bikes are great. Whole set of plastics minus the tank for ~$100

nosbusa
12-14-2012, 02:26 AM
plastics on my busa....... $650 per side. $675 for the front and $700 for the rear.

SBA800
12-17-2012, 04:52 PM
my sled, i think $300 per side, and the top, no idea. probably lots since it has the headlight, digital guage and all that crap

nosbusa
12-17-2012, 08:02 PM
funny how you pay a premium for certain things, even though it doesnt cost more to make.........

aarons419
12-17-2012, 09:28 PM
Yeah, it's the "you bought an expensive toy so you must be able to afford expensive stuff for it" tax.

I hate that crap.

NickPic83
12-17-2012, 09:29 PM
that thing looks bad ass. i want one!

aarons419
12-17-2012, 09:34 PM
You gotta go sit on one, it's like a couch that hauls ass.

NickPic83
12-17-2012, 09:47 PM
2 of some of my favorite things...a couch and hauling ass

then i better not go sit on one. i cant buy anymore toys.....

aarons419
12-17-2012, 09:51 PM
Yeah, I sat on it and immediately felt like this:

LoLz. yup did the same thing when i looked at the Raptor

aarons419
12-17-2012, 10:06 PM
Oh yeah me too. It's a very similar vibe I get from the scrambler now that I think of it.

NickPic83
12-17-2012, 10:11 PM
yikes then i am staying far away from that. i wish my popo dealership wasnt so close to my job. the urge to stop in will always be there. the last time i went there to just "look", i ended up putting a down payment on a order for a limited edition RZR

aarons419
12-17-2012, 10:14 PM
Yeah, it's not quite as bad as the Raptor, plus I wasn't about to sign up for a $12k quad right now, haha.

a new twist to couch surfing......

NickPic83
12-18-2012, 08:33 PM
cant say i havent ridden a couch down a road before.....younger and dumber days i was on a couch getting pulled behind some dumb ass truck, a ford ranger(4.0).....pretty funny shit at the time. the couch legs were sparking and it eventually set the fabric of the couch on fire. i was like the lazy evil kenievel. goin about 40mph or so on a couch with fire shooting out the back lol

how cute, 6.2 was pulling you........

aarons419
12-19-2012, 10:13 AM
Nick that's freakin awesome!

I did something similar, but it was on a car hood getting pulled by an F-150 on a gravel road at like 40mph. Scariest thing I've ever done, the hood was sparking like you said your couch was, and it was also just getting red hot. We had been smart enough to lay blankets and stuff down so I didn't get burned, but my god I thought I was gonna die.

yeah that sounds pretty nuts expecially on gravel. that was smart to think of blankets. i probably wouldnt have thought of that

"Smart" in comparative terms anyway. Nothing about that idea was smart, but that's what happens when you are a bunch of bored rednecks in a small town.

We used one of those old school giant satellite TV dishes as a pull behind sled in the snow with my buddy's F150 dragging it. That was a hell of a lot of fun.

NickPic83
12-20-2012, 08:36 PM
haha few years ago we had a pretty good snow storm. pretty much shut down the area. so after probably too many beers to make any intelligent decisions we decided to tie a tube to the back of a banshee and tear ass up and down the road going around turns and all. so after a while that got a little boring so we took it to the next step. we built a big jump in the middle of the road. so we started having the banshee turn just before the ramp and we would let go of the rope and go off the jump. lots of fun but then it turned into a whos got the bigger balls contest. every turn we would have the banshee go faster and let go later. i am talking fast too, talking banshee goin WOT thru gears....well finally my one buddy went off the ramp and went so far and high he flipped a couple times and actually ended finding the end of the circle and hitting the curb with his shoulder and bruise it badly. thank god we were smart enough to wear a helmet even tho it got in the way of the beer drinking....
