I just stumbled onto this bike the other day while looking for reviews on the 250SX and from what I can tell it's pretty much an amazing all around bike. Most of the reviews on it said that it's got good low end ability for putting around on trails (Important if I'm riding with my daughter) and it'll still get up and scream if you want it to. They also mentioned that it'll hold its own on a moto track if you do that occasionally.

Just curious if anyone here had any personal experience with one as I'd love to hear your impressions of it.

Yeah I'd really like to try one, after reading about it, it sounds like exactly what I want because I don't hit the moto track but once in a blue moon and mostly I'm just doing play riding.

should find a dealer that has a demo unit, and test ride it.

Ktm does do demo days, but the dates I found for this are have already all passed. If I was actually looking to buy one right now I'd ask them if there was some way I could try out the 300 vs the 250sx, maybe in a few months when I get my tax return that'll be an option.

i bet the day after that demo day, you can probably find a good deal on one......,

Yeah you actually can. The dealer here has two each of the 250SX-F and 350SX-F bikes that were demo mules. They're a good $1500 off MSRP.

Yeah, I wouldn't have a problem with it as long as it came with a warranty and there weren't any issues with it mechanically or cosmetically. It makes me wonder if Ford resells the Raptors they uses as demo vehicles at the roundups.

buying demo units really isnt a bad idea at all.

depends on how many people you are comfortable with, mashing the gas peddle before you

I bought my Raptor used. That hasn't turned out horribly, but I sometimes wish I had bought a new one.

yeah, but at least with dealer demo units, they are demo'ing them either at the dealer, or near the dealer. so most people will take it somewhat easy so they dont wreck it. and again, its at a dealer, so if anything even the slightest thing is off, the dealer will fix it for free, since its still theirs.

whereas buying used from someone random who knows thats happened to it

still, how many asses do you want sitting in your vehicle/ohv........

Well I think the answer for everyone would be none. But if it has been a few carefully supervised asses, it probably wouldn't be so bad.
