what to consider when buying ATV Ramps?

I have a Can Am Outlander Max XT 800 that I want to put in the bed of my Ford Raptor. What should I take into consideration for selecting ramps?

The longer the ramp, the less incline up to the bed of the truck, but I suspect it may be more difficult to haul the ramp in the back of the truck too.

What ramp do you recommend?

I like the wide tri fold ramps. where its all one solid ramp. that way you dont have to worry about lining up the wheels.

als make sure to get one with straps or hooks so you can attach it to the tail gate to prevent the ramp from falling.

go on youtube, and search bike loading fail. you will learn what not to do pretty quick lol

i read that you have a trailer you are towing as well, got a pic of that?

x2 Tri fold for sure, ive loaded some that where with just pieces of wood and it was sketchy.

When i did it i pushed it up there so if something went wrong i could get the fuck out the way ahah.

Will the Outlander fit in the bed with tailgate up? If not, that gives you some extra length. I'd put a piece of plywood in the bed, that way half the weight isn't pushing the tailgate down. Then get as long of a ramp as you can, I think you could easily get 6.5' with tailgate down. Tri fold keeps it skinny when folded, so you can put it under the quad between the tires.

Here's what I ended up getting:

Titan 9' Black Aluminum folding ramps. I bought it through ebay because it was actually $20 cheaper than through Amazon.

I received them on Monday and will try them out this weekend when I head up to the cabin. They did have some of the black scraped off in a couple areas. I contacted the company and asked them to send me touch up paint. They offered me $15 credit so I could go get a can of paint and touch it up myself. I took the credit and may not worry about touching up the black.

Will let you know if they work out. Otherwise, keep an eye on YouTube for ATV load fail videos...
