few shots from today, few shots here. some with the raptor and some showing how the RZR is way bigger than the MX5, also showing the rzr does do some work with the plow

looks good! cant believe you actually got a miata lmao. so damn tiny!

rzr is looking good though, needs more tire!

yeah its a big difference goin from raptor to miata and back. it actually messes me up a little with turn radius and all that.

regards to the rzr, thanks yeah i may go a little taller on the next set of tires but i cant go much bigger nor do i want to add more wieght.

yeah, put 37s on it....... and fiberglass fenders...... exhaust, tune, lights,...... oh yeah, and supercharger.....

already did dual exhaust, fuel programmer, XP larger front fenders in orange, did 55w HID headlights and have 2 LED fogs in front, 1 in back, u also forgot other things i have like intake, grumpy rider mod(utv version of ram air), winch, interior leds, etc.........so check to almost all of those u said and then some.....lol

almost bought a turbo kit last year but i really wanna keep it reliable. not that the turbo will make it unreliable but it isnt as durable as it is NA. i looked into the supercharger but i do not think it would deal with the mudding i do. as for 37's let me fit them on the raptor 1st!

gotta order some limit straps. i am getting some binding in the front at full drop after the lift and shocks. its only by a half inch. limit straps will fix that plus will help take some abuse off my shocks.

i would love some foward a arms but with the lift and springs i am already maxed out with the rest of the stock components. i think i am good till i need tires then ill go as big as i can fit without rubbing.

no, he wants spinner rims....

i dont know how u guys roll in cali but we dont do that in the trails on the east cost. :busaballs:

nosbusa
06-05-2013, 10:49 AM
why not? you have as many airbags as the driver. the rear has less.....

ever done rally racing? highspeed offroad with jumps and turns just like what we do with the raptor. well, those cars are lighter and smaller so we would really push it.

NickPic83
06-05-2013, 07:18 PM
no i havent done rally racing, would love to. the closest i do is my rzr. its cheaper to fix so i run it very hard off road.

im really stuck right now. there is a bunch of mods i want for the RZR but there is a few things i want for the raptor....not sure which list to choose from

SBA800
06-05-2013, 11:09 PM

limit straps for the rzr came in this week. ill try to put them on tonight if i have time, maybe a test ride too. if i get them on ill try to fit in a small ride early tomorrow morning

SBA800
06-15-2013, 01:40 PM
so how much travel does that thing have?

NickPic83
06-15-2013, 08:22 PM
12" of travel. 12.5" of ground clearance stock but i am about 14"-15" of clearance with my setup.

well limit straps are wrong!! gonna see if i can return them and use someone else. i just found a nice setup that i rather have. better mounts and the guy is highly recommended

SBA800
06-16-2013, 09:32 PM
shitty the oens you got wont work.

I hate getting shit that wont work, and having to send it back. then waiting haha

I think a rzr would be fun to have, would save my truck a lot of abuse thats for sure.

theres just something about being protected by a roll cage that makes you go insane. theres a lot i wont do on my quad or sled that I would have no issues doing in a rzr

NickPic83
06-17-2013, 07:25 PM
i know exactly what u mean. plus the rzr is a hell of alot cheaper to fix than the truck. ive done some wild shit in the rzr and it just takes it. love that thing

this is not me but this a good vid of what a STOCK S not even an LE can do. i think its a pretty cool little vid

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sdqiFWA0fj8

SBA800
06-17-2013, 11:05 PM
cool vid for sure, yeah they can take the abuse. my truck can to, just when its time to fix something, truck is a lot more expensive.

thankfully rangers are tough as shit and can take a ton of abuse. havent had to fix anything other than regular maintennance stuff

NickPic83
06-18-2013, 06:39 AM
well thats good. u run it hard and no real issues means u got a well built truck and know how to drive and maintain it.

SBA800
06-18-2013, 08:38 PM
cept an issue im having haha. but im guessing its a general maintennance thing. My bet, pinion bearing.

so, any big plans for the rzr? have you decided to mod it, or the rap?

NickPic83
06-18-2013, 08:51 PM
i think i am doing a full SW exhaust setup on the raptor. LT headers to the lightning exit exhaust. trying to decide if i want to do the black out thermal coating or not. not sure how much u know about this but lets see what u think.

when i go for inspection i will need to return to stock to pass. so now the front o2's need to heat up in a certian amount of time. if they dont reach the right temp fast enough it could throw a code. now this hasnt happened to a few guys i spoke to with uncoated headers. if i coat them will this possibly not let the sensor heat up as fast or as much. i dont know if the sensor gets the heat from the metal pipes themselves or staight for the air or both. the coating could help or hurt the issue with the o2's but i am not sure which way....

from SW FAQ
"The front o2 sensors are meant to reach a certain temperature reading in a certain amount of time. If it doesn't reach that temperature, then it will throw a code. The o2 sensor bung is located in the collector of the long tube header. This usually means the location is pushed farther away than where the o2 bung is from the factory. From the extra flow of the long tube, and the new location of the o2 bung, it does not heat up as fast or as much as factory manifolds/lead pipes. This code will definitely require a custom tune to help change the reading from the computer."
next on the list will be the rear suspension

then a front bumper probably

in RZR news my buddy is buying house down the street from me and its on about 3 acres. he is building a big offroad track there. so ill be over there with my case 480 helping and making it atleast big enough for the rzr and maybe a jump or to for the truck lol.

SBA800
06-18-2013, 09:03 PM
i doubt the coating will hurt the sensor at all. i honestly dont think cermaic coatings to much to reduce heat, more of a coating that will last with the kind of heat produced. where normal paint would burn off, ceramic coating will last, and still look good.

as for the track, that is friggin awesome.

my brother has 10 acres, and maybe 1/3 to 1/2 is field, hes renting it out to a farmer this year, but i wanna convince him to make a track

NickPic83
06-18-2013, 09:04 PM
yeah i am really pumped on starting this track. it looks like some projects on my house will have to wait lol

SBA800
06-19-2013, 11:34 AM
track is more important haha.

theres one they just built about 5 minutes from where I work. gonna go check it out one of these days. My buddy went and said it was pretty good.

NickPic83

derailed in FRF fashion....

RZR will be getting the limit straps on hopefully this weekend.
next on the RZR mod list eventually will be

1/2" belly skids
a arm skids
stereo
rear cage extension with spare holder

sure if i want to have to get towed out of the trail....

well spacers are a tad too big. going to take them to work and use the band saw to shave a little off on monday

SBA800
07-02-2013, 12:44 AM
im gona put wheel spacers on my quad. just small ones, to make it a bit more stable on cornering. thats the only downside to IRS

NickPic83
07-02-2013, 06:39 AM
thats a good idea. it should help a little

SBA800
07-02-2013, 11:29 AM
Yep. From reading on the outlaw forums they really help a lot. So ill get those ordered soon.

Gotta install my inner cv boot later today if I can find a service manual online.

I know what you mean. I want a solid rear axle on a quad. I love sliding the back end around. I just have a utility quad (99 Polaris Magnum 325) and slide it every chance I get. It's just so predictable. IRS quads on the other hand, I don't like sliding. More unstable and less predictable. I never knows when it's gonna grab and go.

SBA800
07-02-2013, 12:37 PM
My outlaw for how skinny it is, and the fact it's irs is actually quite stable and very predictable thanks to the swaybar, but that's also due to the fact it's got bald tires lol. Easy to slide em.

I wouldn't trade the smooth ride for a solid axle though. Once I get it wider it should be perfect. Smoothness of IRS, yet stability to take the corners sideways.

Maxx2893
07-02-2013, 01:17 PM
Yeah, your also running a sport quad, lol. I have a feeling they are a lot more maneuverable and easier to slide. That's probably the direction I'd go too on a sport. Utility quads can flip so easily when you try to get sketchy on em though. The solid axle just makes it better for me. JMO though.

Side note, my best friends dad hurt himself real bad on a Outlaw. He had just got it and hadn't ridden it a ton. He put some hand guards on it. When he was backing it off a trailer one day, the hand guards caught the throttle and stuck it. It sent him down a ravine and paralyzed him waist down. Be careful with your Outlaw 6.2. And stay away from some handguards.

SBA800
07-02-2013, 01:22 PM
Haha it's got handguards already. They're quite handy when running fast. Bugs hurt, even through my gloves lol. We got some big bees and grasshoppers.

But I don't trailer it, so I shouldn't have that issue haha. I just push it when moving it around to. Easier that way.
