I'll let him chime in for that story, there's a pretty good thread about it over on FRF, maybe he'll copy it over or give you a summary.

Well, finally managed to finish the shed I was building for my sled and quad. With all the overtime I've been working it took me a little longer than I wanted. But she's done, shingled, etc.
So I finally have my toys at home. No more driving to my brothers place when I wanna ride. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/09/16/unubyved.jpg |
Nice! It'll be good to be able to just go outside and ride. I bet you'll find yourself riding even more, since you don't have to go anywhere to get your machines
|
I sure will. Especially in winter. Few storms last year would have been awesome sledding. But I also would have had to shovel my driveway, as well as m brothers. (3+ feet of drifted packed snow, not fun to shovel)
So this will be so much nicer. Same goes for the quad. Get home, throw on my helmet and go. No more 5 minute drive to my brothers, find out I forgot his keys, back home, and back out haha. Done that a few times. I built the shed out of pallets from work, and leftover 2x8's from our house. So really the only cost was treated plywood for the floor, and shingles. Think we spent under $200 total. Not bad. |
That works

i want a bike to save money on gas haha
shined the sled up today. was insanely dusty. used some mother spray wax on it. made it slippery as shit and shiny. should help keep the snow from sticking to. look at that shineeeee http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f5...ps2b9c56a7.jpg http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f5...ps87945484.jpg |

If you get a 600cc supersport such as an R6, CBR, or GSX-R, you will have to be VERY careful. Even just being a 600 they are extremely fast. A good friend who has been riding for years just wrecked his CBR after forgetting just how quick they are. He grabbed too much throttle without thinking and wheelied right over backwards. I started on a 500. Great to learn on, but it did get old fast. With that said, it is definitely possible to learn on a 600 supersport. They are perfectly manageable and you won't get sick of them either. But they will bite your head off in a heartbeat if you at any point don't give them the respect they deserve. |
Yeah, my other thought was getting the new Ninja 300, but I don't really want to learn on it, then sell it because I know I will get tired of a 300 very quickly.
