ok, so bike was fixed in time for the dyno pulls...running lean and was struggling from idle-1/4 throttle. I fixed the rough spot by raising the needles up one clip, not sure if that will fix my lean issue though :hmm:

So now that I THINK its dialed in...Im gonna go out and ride some....I'll check my plug too, just to see where Im at jetting wise. It pulls hard and I love the powerband with the stage 2 cam. The +1.25 swinger I installed helps keep the front end down, but kinda makes u feel/think ur not getting enough power cuz the front end isnt wanting to come up....gotta get used to that now. Also installed a raptor 700 rear shock, gotta dial that in in the whoops. Got extended throttle/clutch cables from streamline and theyre a lot smoother than stockers...maybe cuz theyre better or cuz theyre not binding the way I routed them, but me likey. I'll post pics of it all put together later today...feels good to see it up and running again...just in time too cuz Im going to pismo next month and riding season is around the corner!

engine build is done....on to bigger and better things

IMS/Roll Design Race Pegs...these things are lowered 1" and set back another inch...so "-1 -1"

The kickup reall helps stay in place and move the bike around corners.

Only problem is you have to modify ur heel guard brackets if you want to keep them...Im currently working on this and should have it all done this weekend.

Another sweet lil mod I had to do was replace the choke cable. With my +2 stem, my choke cable was too short...turns out I can use a Harley choke cable on my carbs with a small mod.

Cable

Stocker on top...notice the stocker is shorter...I jut about 1/8" off the new elbow where it goes into the carbs

Installed, looks OEM
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...i/62e71c28.jpg

Used an old brake line bracket (I think) bolted to a rocker cover screw

Once u pull the cable, it locks and stays pulled out all the way, which kinda revs the bike a lil higher than Im comfortable with...gonna play with the adjusting nuts and see if I can change that. Cant pull the cable just half way out, it will slide back in...gotta slide all the way out, it locks and then gotta puch it back in.

ended up getting a sweet deal on lonestar racing lines so got those instead of ASR.

Its a dual line kit, so no distribution block anymore...lines go straight to the calipers

I got the idea from some guys off raptorforum I think...can get you the pn if you want, works good and my bars look A LOT cleaner.

eddiefromcali 11-12-2010 12:09 AM

Ok, dont think I posted pics of my new pegs with the modified heel guards

Had to cut off about 1" of the plastic, cut and bend the bracket and then drill two holes to bolt it up to the pegs.

I'll have to modify the nerf bars because the bars attach to the pegs, but since these IMS ones are fatter, they are screwing up the alignment. Gonna have to grind off the welds on the front mounting plate that bolts to the frame, line up the bars with the pegs, drill holes, weld the plate back up. Its a pain but I think it will be worth it having the big ol fat pegs, nerfs and heel guards.

I also got a light rack from my brother...Already mounted it up, just have to upload the pics...put some Kragen 7" HIDs on it and they are BRIGHT
