Where do you guys ride ?

Any cool parks or just around the house

Stagnshcky12 02-06-2012 04:16 PM

I have alot of places to ride around my house (some of you have seen the road that goes to it lol)
A friend of mine just opened up alot his property as a recreation park. We already have a harescramble track and were working on more tracks and trails. We're going to build an enduro track this speeding which I'm looking forward too
I've been to a few parks, one here locally is really nice but I highly recommend a few days at hatfield McCoy to anyone!

ramhunter9 02-06-2012 05:58 PM

Sweet , I only have a buddys off road park we ride at .

tmerritt530 02-06-2012 06:44 PM

hundreds of miles of kansas county dirt roads, 2000 acres of fields and pastures. several creekbeds and sand bottoms.

EJM05 02-06-2012 09:23 PM

I go to my friends house who has about 150 acres of open land and woods. its truely amazing.

SBA800 02-08-2012 06:38 PM

well when im snowmobiling i ride the few trails around, or i just ride where i want through fields and in the hills.

for summer atv'ing my brother has 10 acres, not a lot, but im trying to convince him to make a little track haha.

and of course backroads, ditches, etc.

HammerZ71 02-08-2012 08:35 PM

I don't even bring my ATV to Florida anymore, even though I'm there 80% of the time. Most anti-OHV state in the union. Only one pay park I know of and it's two hours from me. State Parks are a no-go and the closest National Park with OHV is two and a half hours from me.

Now in Georgia, I co-own a small piece of farm property that's 38 acres and can ride my neighbors 330 acre farm, plus have a number of places back in the swamps and around the rivers to ride...

ramhunter9 02-08-2012 08:50 PM

Nice ^ Swamp riding .. you snorkel that thing yet ?

wermbang 02-08-2012 10:06 PM

I ride on my dads land. big gravel parking lot, 6 acre pasture, and then a bunch trails along the old railroad tracks (tracks have been removed)

Nope, I pretty much limit my riding to water up to the bottom of the seat...

This is from a couple of years ago, summer of '08 I think. Alapaha River during a severe drought. If y'all have ever heard of "Hogzilla" the largest boar ever shot, it was killed about four miles from where this pic was taken...

'small' town, 20000'ish people. Everywhere outside the backyard is free game for riding. Snow everywhere! Of course the best spots are off the beaten trails. Extremely lucky to have so many small lakes, ponds, marshes, that collect tons of snow so close to town. Lucky that 95% of snowmobilers trail-ride, and don't break trail into these amazing spots :)

ramhunter9 02-10-2012 10:41 PM

Dam lucky man

wermbang 02-11-2012 12:38 PM

Stagnshcky12 02-21-2012 05:56 PM

There's a couple nice hill climbs and trails from here, there's on that cuts up the creek right back to our property, it's about 3 miles so it's a few hours of good rock crawling in the jeeps but about 10-15 minutes on my dirtbike lol

ramhunter9 03-02-2012 08:56 PM

sweet i like

canuckz71 04-22-2012 09:58 PM

We have hundreds of trails here in Alberta since I live about a half hour from the base of the Rocky mountains. Just went out today for the first time this season. There is a track in the city but its expensive as hell to ride so I rarely go there.

oppo 04-22-2012 11:07 PM

There are 3 parks around here that we usually ride at. The farthest of these is just over an hour away. Two are about a thousand acres and the third is close to three thousand acres. Depending on the time of year and recent rainfall, all three have plenty of mud.

AK SNO RIDER 04-23-2012 12:56 AM

I ride my sled in mountains all over the Kenai Peninsula. I also live on a lake where I ride my PWC, and there are lot's of fourwheeling trails around here as well.

This is what is known as an understatement.

jmurph 04-23-2012 11:04 AM

Bundy Hill Recreation in Jerome Mi. (hour from my house), Silver Lake Sand dunes Hart Mi. (4.5 hours from my house), and a few friends houses near mine.

AngryBird 04-23-2012 05:31 PM

In the national forest in and around the Jemez mountains. Or on Indian land when I can get away with it ;-)

RedRyder01 04-25-2012 01:10 AM

I got my dads 50 acres to ride on, then my grandmas house has 25 to ride on, then her land is another 30 acres

nosbusa 12-11-2012 03:06 AM

i ride at pismo and hollister

aarons419 12-13-2012 08:03 PM

Four Peaks/Sycamore Wash, Boulders OHV and a spot in Surprise just south of Boulders.

NickPic83 12-14-2012 09:05 PM

i ride right behind my house. i live in the woods and there is a gas plant not far from me with tons of propery with lots of trails thru it.

nosbusa 12-15-2012 11:02 AM

is that where you hang out and smoke?

NickPic83 12-15-2012 08:34 PM

no but i build huge camp fires lol

there is actually 2 big ponds back there. i usually stop at either one and drink a beer there and relax. i dont get hammered i only bring 1 or 2 with me. the heavy drinking is done after i park it at home

aarons419 12-17-2012 10:22 PM

I need to find a decent area to play ride around here, with jumps and such.

NickPic83 12-17-2012 10:28 PM

yeah i wish there was more and better jumps where i ride

nosbusa 12-17-2012 10:44 PM

hollister hills ohv park here about 30 minutes from me. good place to go

aarons419 12-17-2012 10:52 PM

I haven't found jack as far as jumps go. Tons of desert trails, not nowhere to just screw around and play. That's a first for me. I guess I gotta go to the track for jumps.

nosbusa 12-17-2012 11:15 PM

how about that toyota track on the weekend?

aarons419 12-18-2012 10:56 AM

That toyota track appears to have armed guards, lol.

nosbusa 12-18-2012 11:53 AM

you can beg, its ok, im sure they will understand.

aarons419 12-18-2012 12:36 PM

Why beg when you can stage a night raid?

nosbusa 12-19-2012 02:26 AM

im up for that. maybe i can use my "judo chop" before they can call for backup.....
